„Green Chemistry Approaches to the Sustainable Synthesis of Pyridine Compounds“

U okviru održavanja 4. Europske GREEN konferencije 2026, koja se održala od 26. do 29. svibnja 2026. godine u Vodicama, doc. dr. sc. Valentina Bušić održala je javno predstavljanje projekta „EMSEO – Environmentally friendly methods for the synthesis and extraction of organic compounds with potential biological activity“. Tijekom javnog predstavljanja projekta sudionici konferencije upoznati su s ciljevima projekta, dosadašnjim rezultatima istraživanja te planiranim aktivnostima. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na interdisciplinarni pristup, povezivanje znanstvene zajednice i industrije te razvoj inovativnih rješenja usmjerenih prema održivosti i zelenoj kemiji.
Predavanje je održano u okviru projekta te je bilo usmjereno na prikaz suvremenih pristupa zelenoj kemiji u razvoju održivih metoda sinteze piridinskih spojeva, s posebnim naglaskom na smanjenje negativnog utjecaja kemijskih procesa na okoliš, povećanje učinkovitosti reakcija te primjenu održivih sintetskih strategija.
Sudjelovanje na konferenciji omogućilo je razmjenu znanstvenih iskustava, uspostavljanje novih suradnji te diseminaciju projektnih rezultata međunarodnoj znanstvenoj zajednici.

As part of the 4th European GREEN Conference 2026, held from 26 to 29 May 2026 in Vodice, Assistant Professor Valentina Bušić, PhD, delivered a public presentation of the project “EMSEO – Environmentally Friendly Methods for the Synthesis and Extraction of Organic Compounds with Potential Biological Activity.”
During the public presentation, conference participants were introduced to the project objectives, research achievements obtained so far, and planned future activities. Particular emphasis was placed on the interdisciplinary approach, strengthening collaboration between the scientific community and industry, and developing innovative solutions focused on sustainability and green chemistry.
The lecture was presented within the framework of the project and focused on contemporary green chemistry approaches in the development of sustainable methods for the synthesis of pyridine compounds, with particular emphasis on reducing the environmental impact of chemical processes, improving reaction efficiency, and implementing sustainable synthetic strategies.
Participation in the conference enabled the exchange of scientific experiences, the establishment of new collaborations, and the dissemination of project results to the international scientific community.
